ZILVO VS OUTSCRAPER

Zilvo vs Outscraper: simple business extraction or a broader data platform?

Both Zilvo and Outscraper can turn a business category and geography into structured Google Maps data.

The difference is not whether they can scrape Google Maps. It is how much product you want around the scrape.

Outscraper is a mature cloud data platform with advanced filters, enrichment, several export formats and API access. Its Google Maps product is pay-as-you-go and currently starts free for 500 places, then costs $3 per 1,000 through 100,000 places and $1 per 1,000 above that.

Zilvo is narrower. Enter the business category and geography. Zilvo breaks large markets into smaller searches where necessary, collects the businesses, removes duplicates and gives you a CSV.

THE ZILVO ADVANTAGE

The biggest Zilvo advantage is not another data field.

It is how little you need to configure.

Say you want: Ice cream shops across Texas.

One Google Maps query will not reliably expose an entire large market. Somebody has to break the geography apart.

Zilvo handles the search plan

1Texas
2Cities
3Smaller areas
4ZIP codes
5Overlapping searches
6Merge
7Remove duplicates

Enter Category: Ice cream shop and Location: Texas. Zilvo handles the geographic decomposition underneath the job and consolidates unique businesses into the final dataset.

IMPORTANT CONTEXT

Outscraper can handle large areas too.

This is not something we should pretend is unique to Zilvo.

Outscraper supports bulk queries and large-volume Google Maps scraping. Its own materials also discuss using ZIP codes and smaller areas when covering dense geographies.

Outscraper

More controls, formats, enrichment and infrastructure.

Zilvo

A deliberately simpler category + geography workflow where much of the geographic expansion is handled for you.

STRUCTURED OUTPUT

What does Zilvo export?

A Zilvo Google Maps extraction can include business name, website, phone number, category or categories, ZIP code, address and geography, Google Maps URL, latitude and longitude, rating, review count, business status and price information.

Users can also request rating data and up to the top 100 reviews when required. The result is delivered as a structured CSV.

OUTSCRAPER STRENGTHS

Where Outscraper is stronger

1. Enrichment

Outscraper can run enrichment after Maps extraction, including contact/domain-related processing. Zilvo currently does not crawl the business website after extraction to find extra emails or social profiles. If your goal is Google Maps → emails → enriched lead file, Outscraper is stronger today.

2. Filtering before or during the job

Outscraper supports advanced filtering. Zilvo's current workflow is extract → CSV → filter. If you only want 4+ stars, 50+ reviews and businesses with a website, you will currently apply those filters after the Zilvo extraction.

3. API and data pipelines

Outscraper offers API access. That matters when Google Maps data needs to flow directly into your application, warehouse, CRM, scheduled automation or internal data pipeline. Zilvo currently does not offer API or webhook access.

PRICING

Pricing: neither product wins at every volume

Google Maps extraction uses 0.5 Zilvo credit per unique business, so one credit covers two unique businesses.

Zilvo Premium is ~58% lower per 1,000 raw Google Maps businesses than Outscraper's $3/1,000 PAYG band — but Outscraper becomes cheaper above 100k records.

  • • Zilvo Basic at $2.00/1,000 is about 33% lower than Outscraper's $3/1,000 PAYG band.
  • • Zilvo Standard at about $1.67/1,000 is about 44% lower.
  • • Zilvo Premium at $1.25/1,000 is about 58% lower.
  • • Outscraper becomes cheaper at its $1/1,000 rate above 100,000 records.
  • • This compares raw Google Maps extraction. Outscraper includes broader infrastructure and enrichment capabilities that Zilvo does not.

OPERATING MODEL

Windows desktop vs cloud

Zilvo currently runs as a Windows desktop application. For some users that's attractive: install the tool, give it category + geography, run the extraction.

But Zilvo does not currently support Mac.

Outscraper is cloud-based. If you need platform independence, server-side processing or API-first workflows, the cloud model is the obvious advantage.

DECISION GUIDE

Which should you choose?

Choose Zilvo if:

  • You prefer one-time credits.
  • You use Windows.

Choose Outscraper if:

  • You need an API.
  • You want enriched emails/contact information.
  • You need advanced filters.
  • You want Excel, JSON or Parquet as well as CSV.
  • You have automated or recurring data pipelines.
  • You frequently scrape 100k+ records, where Outscraper's PAYG pricing becomes particularly aggressive.

PRACTICAL EXAMPLE

With Outscraper

2Apply advanced filters
3Optional enrichment

If the goal is simply to get the market into a spreadsheet, Zilvo keeps the process narrow.

If that spreadsheet is only the first stage of a larger data pipeline, Outscraper offers substantially more infrastructure.
